About Us

Since 1989, MĀNOA has been publishing a twice-annual series of volumes focusing on international literature. Each is published in printed form as an original paperback, and in digital format as a journal for international digital distribution through Project MUSE and JSTOR. Currently, we have about 8,000 institutional subscribers in 100 countries. Our mission is to bring the literature of Asia, the Pacific, the Americas and other, especially underrepresented, places to readers all over the world.
